SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC)- Students at Armstrong Atlantic State University took a break from finals to meet some friendly therapy dogs. AASU Police Department's Cops and Canine program hosted Therapy Dogs International on campus Thursday. A few pups showed up to meet with students and staff. Event organizers say it is an opportunity for everyone to unwind during the hectic week.
"It can be a stressful week for faculty, students and staff. It is a nice thing to do during finals week to lower everyone's stress level," said Wynn Sullivan, Deputy Chief of Police.
Therapy Dogs International has a chapter in Savannah.
